Whether you have an herbivore, such as an iguana, or a strict carnivore, such as a monitor lizard, read about your particular herp and study what would be nutritionally best for your pet's particular species. It can be a challenge to feed a finicky herp properly, but it can be done.
The pellet foods are available in two formulas; Juvenile and Adult. The special juvenile formula is higher in protein to promote growth and the adult formula is higher in fiber to ensure proper nutrient absorption. |
Canned foods are a convenient way to feed insects. These insects (and snails) have been cooked in the can to maintain nutritional value, flavour and aroma. It also softens the exoskeleton of the insects for easier digestion and breaks the bonds between the collagen protein to make it absorbable by reptiles. |
